Welcome letter

President, Croatian Cardiac Society

Dear colleagues,
With pleasure and honour I wish you a warm welcome on the 15th Congress of the Croatian Cardiac Society with international participation, held under a patronage of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
Our national cardiology congresses are organized biannually, as the most important gathering of Croatian cardiologists and other related specialists.
I hope we have prepared an attractive and interactive Programme, which covers the most important advances and actual knowledge of contemporary cardiology. The Congress Programme contains many of your original communictions together with invited lectures from renown domestic and top international speakers. Round table discussions, and Satellyte simposia from our sponsors will also be an important up to date part of the Programme.

Croatian Cardiac Soiciety, besides professional and scientific events, has been for decades actively involved in promotion of cardiovascular health and development of cardiology in Croatia, including our leadership in numerous innitiatives, public health activities and permanent interaction with the steakholders: Ministry of Health and the Coratian Health Insurance Fund. Thus, Croatian Cardiac Society had, has, and will have an acitive and direct impact on Croatian cardiology in a real life setting.
Within this Congress we will cellebrate the 20th anniversary of the Croatian Primary PCI Network for patients with myocardial infarction, as a bright example how a national professional medical society can influence decision making policies,  and help implementation of  the newest guidelines in daily practice.

Last but not least, as cardiovascular mortality in Croatia is constantly decreasing, we would like to believe that Croatian Cardiac Society took a significant part in those trends.
Croatian cardiology today is advanced, internationally active and networked, and implements achievements of modern science and practice in our daily routine.  However, we should not take a brake,  as much has to be done in the exiting future, approaching very fast.
Many thanks to all of you who supported this Event, in any way.

Let us enjoy a nice, contentful and successful Coongress!

Dear colleagues and friends,

It is my honor and pleasure to invite you to join us at the 11th Congress of the Croatian Association of Cardiological Nurses and the 15th Congress of the Croatian Cardiac Society, which will be held from November 28th to December 1st, 2024, in Zagreb at the Westin Hotel. Considering the tradition of holding a national congress every two years, this year's congress will bring together and unite all healthcare professionals involved in cardiovascular care. The theme of the 11th congress of the HUKMS is "Multidisciplinary Perspectives in Cardiovascular Care Focused on the Patient." As HUKMS follows the trends and perspectives of European cardiological nursing, this theme is the same as for the EuroHeartCare2024 congress, which had taken place from June 14th to 15th in Wroclaw, Poland. This theme is an incentive for us to remain united in preserving fundamental values and to ensure that the core of our practice is the patient.

We invite you to join us as active participants with the papers that will be published in the supplement of the journal "Cardiologia Croatica."

Congress President
